HOME FOR THE WEEKEND looking for a good time Alek kind of wished that it wasn't necessary to keep his relationship with Arielle a secret -- he could have more public displays of affection, he could come up behind her and make her feel sexually uncomfortable without the fear of getting his dick chopped off, and he could admit to the public that he was in love with Matthew Hirsch's little sister... but there was the problem. Matthew Hirsch. He was a cool guy for the most part, and he had a lot in common with Alek. Aside from the whole, secret relationship thing. He was informed by Arielle the minute they connected that Matthew would castrate him if he found out about the two of them kissing, let alone fooling around and dating. So, rather than risk his parts that he would really rather keep, he opted to keep their relationship a secret while they waited to see how serious they would get, and while they waited for Matthew to calm the fuck down (like that would ever happen). Although, he had to admit -- there were some perks to having a secret relationship that he would never admit to Elle, not in a million years. It would be a lie to say that he only had eyes for his girlfriend, although he was in love with her. There was a certain sexual aspect missing, because she was way too afraid that Matthew would find out if Alek took her virginity. So, he had to get his kicks somewhere else. There was no way he was going to become one of those guys who resorted to using his hand as the only way to get any kind of action, and he was a total slut when he was drunk... it kind of worked, except that he always had a guilty conscious around her. The groupies were nice, but having someone to connect with mentally and emotionally too was nicer. If only she'd finally give in.
Another problem with having a secret relationship was that there was really no way to spend time together without worry. Making out behind the buses was risky, and hardly worth it -- having to stop every five seconds to make sure that the feet coming around the corner didn't belong to a crazy older brother was not very rewarding at all. At least right now the tour was still stationed in Las Vegas, Alek's home town. He knew all the best places to do stuff secretly (can you say smoking spots when he was a teen much?) and was fairly okay at giving directions... besides, Arielle could always tell Matthew that she was going to the store to buy feminine things, like razors or tampons. That would surely get him to butt out. He had given her a map at the beginning of the day, taped to his amp as a special surprise for when she moved all of their gear and stuff on stage. He did feel bad that she had to be a roadie bitch, but it had to be better than having her brother's eyes on her twenty four seven. And he knew personally that selling merch was not nearly as fun as people made it out to be, so he supposed it was a fair trade off. He gave her coy grins all throughout their set, not paying much attention to his instrument because he was much too cocky to worry about making mistakes. After their set, he ran to the bus to get changed -- being sweaty and sticky before meeting your girlfriend was never a good thing. He took a quick shower and threw on a t-shirt and jeans, slipping on his black vans before heading out the door. Arielle was still stuck sleeping on Matthew's bus despite quitting her position as his merch bitch, but that was probably better -- he didn't suspect much, he hoped.
Alek hopped over the fence of the venue, not wanting to bother with going through the gates -- he'd get swarmed, no doubt. Everyone was always asking him for signatures, or asking him where Jude was. Really, he figured Divide By Zero had the most crazy fans out of any of the bands on tour, just because everyone wanted in his and Jude's pants. Probably because both he and Jude would hit on them... not necessarily the best thing to do, but it got them attention. And hey, there was no such thing as bad press, right? The park that he had told Elle to meet him at wasn't that far away, really a ten minute walk if you had a fast pace like Alek had. He had grown up in this area, and still knew it like the back of his hand -- he ducked under a tree and took a short cut, not wanting to be honked at or anything like that. God forbid some tour administrator saw him, because they really weren't supposed to leave during the hours that the tour was actually going on. He was supposed to be wandering around, meeting fans and doing his job as a friendly bassist. Arielle, however, was much more important than that. After a few more minutes and one extremely fast paced walk, he ended up in this little park that he had loved growing up. After eight or so, there were no children around -- it was in a kind of sketchy neighborhood, sure, but it was also a great place to meet girls and an even greater place to bring his weed to smoke so that his parents wouldn't know that he was a druggie. He didn't smoke around Elle though, so this meeting was strictly for getting to talk to his girlfriend for more than five seconds a day.
He saw her leaning against the swing set, and came up behind her, squeezing her sides to surprise her. He hopped to the side so that he could come into her view, standing in front of her. No matter how many other girls he happened to look at or happened to fool around with when he was really horny and unable to convince Elle to have sex with him, she would still be the most gorgeous of them all. She had turned him into kind of a sap, and she was really the only girl that he treated with any kind of respect. He grinned at her and put his hands in her back pockets, pulling her close. "Hey you."
He breathed, planting a kiss on her lips ever so softly. After a second he pulled back, looking around to examine the park that he had spent so many high off his ass hours at when he was a teen. "I see you had no problem finding this place." He smirked, remembering a time that he felt up a cheerleader in the tunnel slide just twenty feet away from them. His eyes met hers again, and he found his lips against hers once more, hungrily taking in every moment of this. They didn't have many chances to do this, just a few spare minutes here and there. Behind the food tents had become their most accessible spot, but he could only be gone for so long before people started to wonder. "I love you." His voice was sincere, even though he had only ever said those words to one person, who he didn't even love in that way. He never told his parents that he loved them, only his nanny when he was little. Obviously Arielle was something special to him, he just hoped she could see that too. when you're gone, will i lose control? you're the only road i know; who will drive my soul?
Whether she really wanted to admit it or not, Arielle really did build her life around her brother. Ever since they were children, she had always stopped before doing or saying something and instead of asking herself, is this what I want, she would ask herself, fuck, what is Matt gonna say? It was in no way an "abusive" relationship but growing up, really, he was the only family member she had ever really connected with. Arielle knew that the love she felt towards her parents was a mandatory love, one that every child was taught to feel towards their respective biological parents or guardians. Matt was her best friend though -- her play thing when she was a child -- and he really was, in all honesty, the closest thing to a parent as she got. With her parents both being in the medical field, it was almost impossible to get through the night when she was younger without one of their beeper's going off and paging them to go to the hospital. Arielle wasn't good with goodbyes or leaving or disappointment -- which is why she hadn't left her brother or completely abandoned him. Of course, Arielle was spending less and less time around her brother thanks to the raging guilt that came with her having a secret boyfriend that Matt didn't know about. To be honest, it really was for the best -- Matt just didn't understand things when it came to her "growing up" at all. Of course, Matt probably wouldn't chop off his dick, but the last thing she wanted was for her boyfriend to get a black eye because of her or her ignoramus brother.
When they had first started this secret relationship, Arielle could probably guess that part of this -- the feeling in the pit of her stomach, the butterflies fluttering all over was that it was a secret. What was a guy like Aleksander -- sexy, musician, fawned over by fans all over -- doing with Arielle? Ellie was just a lowly, mousy looking blonde chick from Florida with an over protective brother that liked anything Japanese related and reading over getting crunk at a party any day. It didn't make any sense to her, so for the first part of their relationship, she completely doubted it -- all of it. Alek, the relationship, etc. etc. She had never had a boyfriend before that was as well, err, headstrong as Alek. Of course, the other two relationships she had been in were in high school and of course, they had been just as horny, but didn't have anywhere near the gut to be so open about their want for Arielle. It wasn't that she was some kind of religious chick -- she wasn't saving herself for marriage or waiting for her Prince Charming to come swoop her off her feet on some white horse and throw her onto a bed with rose petals and make sweet love to her there. Say what you want about Ellie -- but for the most part she had her feet planted firmly on the ground, even if she was pretty immature and quirky. The closest she was getting to her prince charming was Alek -- and she had no problem with that all. It was mostly that she was just, well, afraid. Arielle had never dated someone that was so publicly swooned over, and if this went wrong, she didn't think that her somewhat fragile self esteem could handle anymore throw downs other than the ones already being posted on the white wall.
To be honest, though, this sneaking around was just not cutting it for Ellie anymore. She knew, oh, she knew that it just wasn't enough for Aleks, either. What she would've given to just be with him, to not care about what her brother thought or anyone else for that matter. Who cared if she dyed her hair blonde (her natural chocolate brown color really didn't suit her) or if she liked Japanese anime or if she wasn't fucking Alek after every single show like the rest of the whores on this tour. Her relationship -- secret or not -- was her relationship, and when she wanted to have sex with Alek, she was going to. At least...she wished it was simple. Being the sister of a musician definitely had its benefits in the sense that it was easy for Ellie to understand the way that "their" minds worked a little bit more. Even when her brother was "seeing" a girl, there were always five more knocking on the bus door, trying to get a piece of him (another reason why it was easy to switch over to the Divide By Zero crew). Their sexual needs seemed to be magnified -- and there were plenty of girls that were willing to relieve them of their horniness. Arielle wasn't a fool; she knew just how attractive her boyfriend was, and she knew that there were other girls. She had seen the lipstick stain on his shirts, smelled the perfume that definitely didn't belong to her, saw the guilty look on his face as she would wait outside the bus (he probably didn't know that part) with breakfast that she had made and waited for the so-called girl to exit the bus. It was strange, really -- but up until now, it really had worked. Just like with everything else though, things were starting to get a little harder now -- and to be honest, Arielle was just about ready to do anything to salvage this relationship. He was the one thing that kept her sane, the one person she loved more than herself in this entire world. Of course, whether he knew that or not -- she wasn't really sure.
Arielle's thin arms began to bulge as she hauled an amplifier out of the trailer hooked onto the back of Divide By Zero's tour bus. Her blonde hair was pulled into a pony tail as she hauled the huge piece of equipment out of it's storing case and onto the stage. She surely was one of the best female roadies on the whole tour -- at first she had really fucked up, had given the wrong chords to the wrong people and it had ended up making the show sound like completely shit, which she had gotten hell for. Since then, she had been almost dead set on being the best roadie that the DBZ kids had ever had -- and to be honest, she was actually doing a pretty good job. Besides, they probably weren't too upset with the view -- there was something kind of sexy about a little blonde thing carrying speakers around. Ellie had slept in too late that morning, so the other roadies had ("kindly") left the heaviest things for her to carry. At least this was the third of four amplifiers, and then she'd be done and could go watch Divide By Zero's set. When the tour had first started and she'd do this -- load in, watch the show, load out, make out (her brother didn't know about that last one) -- she'd spend half of the set worrying about what she'd tell her brother when he asked why she was watching the band so intently. As far as her brother knew, she probably was the biggest Divide By Zero fan ever -- which wasn't exactly the case, but as long as he wasn't sharpening his knife to cut off her poor Alley cat's dick anytime soon, she wasn't going to argue. Sometimes her brother being such a well, dumb blonde, really worked to her advantage. Ellie let out a small grunt to herself as she hauled the last amp out, breathing deeply and bending at the knees as she herself dragged the heavy amplifier up onto the stage, leaving it in front of Alek. "Good luck, baby,"
she whispered under her breath, giving him a wink before turning to go watch him from the audience. When people said that Divide By Zero had the craziest fans, Arielle couldn't lie. She had seen some pretty intense shit since joining up with the band -- some that made her so upset (mostly the fans that were basically a step away from raping Alek right in front of her) that she'd have to turn away or leave for a little bit and cool down. Ellie stood a respectable distance back into the crowd, wishing that she had the balls to dive right up into that crowd. Hell, maybe even crowd surf or something. She had done that maybe once or twice, but it had ended up once in a broken nose and the second time in getting groped and felt up -- so really she couldn't say that she was just bitting at the git to do that again. She could always ask if she could stand with the security guards -- but really, how obvious would that be? Besides, she didn't want to get in the way of the security guards or the photographers. She knew that it could get pretty cramped in front of that barrier from her days of photographing her brother's band. Ellie could honestly say that she was starting to zone out before she caught Alek's eye and snapped out of it. A small confused, playful smile played up on her lips. Daring to test the limits a little bit, she gave a discreet kissing motion with her lips, followed up by a wink. They really were so cute -- they would probably be just as loved and hated at the same time by the fans as Travis and Lindsey or Emily and Ethan, if maybe Arielle wasn't so God damn weird and Alek didn't spend more time currently with his drugs and fan girls than with her. Ellie giggled and let out a cheer as the set ended, instantly walking backstage, flashing her backstage pass and beginning to load out. Her eyes searched the crowd, frowning when she saw that Alek had disappeared already. She sighed -- she'd catch him before the day was over, she needed to tell him that the other night when she had been talking to him about finally sleeping with him she had been utterly and completely serious. She really wanted this now -- neither one of them deserved the jokes and well, he had promised that if she did sleep with him, he'd stop sleeping with the other girls. Of course, it wasn't as slimy as that sounded, but it meant a lot to Ellie -- maybe this was the first step in taking their relationship public. She wasn't going to let this fall apart, no -- even if they weren't affectionate all the time and hanging on each other in public and making out didn't mean that their relationship was any weaker than anyone else's. Besides, Arielle knew that really Alek was a gentle giant -- she couldn't say that she had really been a big fan of him when she met him, though. He had seemed just like every other single guy on this tour -- a horny prick with nothing better to do than smoke weed, drink and party while losing site of the real reason why they were all on this tour, the music. Slowly though, they had formed a connection that just grew deeper and deeper until she found herself falling head over heels in love with him. Even when they didn't tell each other all the time -- she knew that he loved her as well, and maybe that was hard for other people to fathom, but no one had asked them to be experts on their relationship, anyway. Once again, Arielle found that her thoughts had carried her through loading in the first three amplifiers, pausing once she had gotten to the last and heaviest one. Attached to the amplifier was a white piece of paper, a map with an X drawn on it. A small grin found it's way onto her pale face, tucking the map into the back pocket of her jeans before hauling the amplifier back into the trailer. Before anyone could ask her to do anything else -- people usually tried to recruit her to help with other bands sound tech, drum tech or just plain roadie after Divide By Zero's set but she always said no -- she made her way back over to the bus. Excitedly, she freshened herself up -- not having the time or energy to take a shower and then redo her hair and make up. Once she was ready to go, she threw the hood up on her American Apparel hoodie and frowned, desperately trying to follow the map. She had really never been one to follow directions or understand maps -- she was probably one of the worst drivers you had ever seen, and was probably even worse now that she hadn't drove in about three or four months. Before she had even gotten to the park, she had to stop and ask for directions about three times, and then finally, finally she had found it. Looking around, she couldn't spot Alek anywhere so she just sat down on one of the swings, yawning quietly to herself as tiny rain drops began to fall. She pumped the swings back and forth -- waiting for Alek to come. It wasn't long before she felt him approaching and she jumped off, a big, silly grin on her face as she ran over to him. "Baby!" Arielle really wasn't one to show much public affection either, but when it was just the two of them, she was allowed to be just as Ellie-ish as she wanted. Her eyelids closed almost instantly, soaking in the moment and the feeling of his lips brushing against hers. Her arms immediately retreated up to his neck, wrapping her thin arms around him and pulling him close to her. "You have no idea," she chuckled, not forcing any words out. They talked all the time -- what she wanted right now was just to kiss him and hold him close to her, to act like a real couple for once. "I love you too, Alek." She opened her eyes for just a moment to kiss his cheek, brushing his hair out of his eyes sweetly with the edge of her finger tips. Arielle had always loved going to the park when she was little -- fond memories that were way more harmless than his instantly filled her mind as she looked around the park. It was almost identical to the one that Matt used to take her to when they were younger and she'd force him to push her on the swings or she'd make them a picnic and take it with them to the park. Of course, she was sure that now they'd have their turn to make some memories -- to finally act like a couple before they had to go back and act like just co-workers and friends. "It's raining," she frowned, shivering as she wrapped her arms tighter around him. "So, show me around," she laughed, having put the pieces together that some pretty epic things had happened in Alek's past here. "I wanna know all the secrets about this place." She told him with a small laugh, grinning. music: samson - regina spektor word count: 2,560 words <---WHAT THE FUCK? notes: this is some serious ramble fail[/blockquote][/blockquote]
