i need to find my way back to the start when we were in love oh things were better than they are- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Angie Tam. Tallon could talk for hours about that girl, about how she stole his heart, then broke it, but never gave him the pieces back. They'd been dating off and on for, what, five years? Five long years of fights, break ups, make ups, and more fights, and lots and lots of booze. Being around Angie was dangerous, it was toxic. It was like he was slowly dying from everything they were getting into, but every time they'd break up he'd want to die even more. Tallon was whipped by the girl, there was no doubt about that -- for some reason he happened to love her more than anyone else in the world, even after all of the shit that she put him through. Even after they broke up that one final time, causing him to go into a downward spiral of destruction and drugs, a spiral that only his oldest friend could pull him out of. Garrett Morgan. That ginger saved his life, but it was still in the hands of that vixen Angie -- as much as he hated to admit it, he would still love her. Something about her being his first love, his first sexual encounter, and his first real relationship just made her stick out in his head, just made her impossible to forget and even more impossible to stop loving. There were days that he could go without thinking about her, but his heart still felt heavy without her. He still wished to smell her perfume on his pillow and to wake up with her entangled in his sheets, still half naked from the night before and slightly hungover. He wished with all of his heart that they could go back to the way they were before, before the booze and the pills, before the sex and the desperate need to out do each other. He wished he could have the relationship with Angie Tam that he had when they were sixteen years old, but he knew that could never, ever happen.
But then, she went and did the unexpected. Sure, Tallon had lied to her about having a new girlfriend, and had agreed that she could come visit if she wished... but he never in a million years expected her to fly to Las Vegas, find the tour, and then IM him saying she was here. That was not the Angie Tam he knew, and he liked to think he knew every single thing about her. Maybe she was actually wanting to have a relationship? He could only hope that she wanted to make this work for real this time, that they could love each other without the illegal substances and without the constant fights. He really did love her, and he couldn't say no to her when she asked if he still loved her too. They decided to make this work again, and although he hadn't told Garrett yet, they were starting their relationship over again. Well, not completely over, because they did have sex the first night she got here. He wanted to prove that he wasn't the whiny, submissive bitch that he used to be, although he really was just the same old Tal; just trying to hide the bad sides so that she wouldn't leave him again. Just like always. Tal would try to change himself, not just for the better but so that she'd love him more. Maybe that's why they failed so much... if he could love Angie for who she was, and vise versa, they could probably work. Throwing away a five year relationship wasn't worth it, was it? They'd been through so much, and she knew all his secrets. He knew how to cheer her up, and the other way around. She knew him better than anybody, better than Gare, better than his parents, better than anyone in the entire world.
Tal texted his... girlfriend, telling her to come over to his bus right now. Gare was away at Ace's, like always, hiding in his boyfriend's bunk in his happy little love nest. Besides, Gare didn't need to know about this quite yet. No, definitely not. He tapped his black van shoe on the ground, anxiously awaiting her arrival. After a minute, he rose from his bottom bunk and passed through the make shift hallway, closing the little accordion door so that he wouldn't have to disturb anybody. Not like anyone was on the bus right now, they were all off at some bus party that he didn't want to go to. Tal wasn't much for socializing, really. He slid through the living room area, stepping over the x-box controllers that were laid messily across the floor -- he really should learn to clean up after himself. He made it to the door, and opened it quietly, even though it didn't matter how much noise he made; he was a creature of habit, no doubt about that. The night was cold, despite it being a Las Vegas summer night. He jumped down the stairs and closed the door behind him, leaning against the bus -- the metal was cold, even though his black button up shirt, but after a long hot day, it was welcoming. He propped one foot up against the wheel, the item in his pocket burning through his dark skinny jeans. He patted it gently, waiting until he heard the crunch of Angie's shoes on the gravel before looking up. His eyes met hers, and his face lit up -- even with the bad times, there really was no one else who could make him smile like Angie could.
He walked towards her, meeting her halfway from their two points. As the distance closed and their bodies were nearly inches apart, Tallon lifted one of his hands to caress her cheek, his eyes falling to the ground as he realized that it had been so long since this had happened. He tried his hardest to push their last few memories out of his head, of their vicious fights and harsh words that stung even now, over a year later. His eyes flicked back up to her face as he removed his hand and shoved it in his pocket, pulling out a silver necklace with a heart on it. He looked at it in his hands, the color standing out against his tan skin, and glittering in the moon light. He had bought this for her over a year ago, just a few weeks before they had broken up for good. He saw it in a window display and just had to get it for her, so that she would know that he always had her heart -- too bad she broke it before he had a chance to give her the gift. "I..uh... got this for you a while ago. And I want you to have it now." He stuttered, lifting it up to see it closer in the light coming from the street lamp twenty yards away. He then moved his hands to clasp it behind her neck, watching as it fell to her collar bone. No matter how manipulative and evil Angie could be, she would still forever be Tal's girl, and now he had a gift to prove it. She may not have known it, but that silver charm really did represent his heart, and she would have it forever. She could do with it what she pleased, just as she did before -- he just hoped that this time she wouldn't break it.

I'M NOT SCARED OF LOSING THIS i ' m s c a r e d o f l o s i n g y o u • - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - • - - - tallon. where to start with him? he was angie’s saving grace in some sort of way. in some way he reached down deep in angie’s body, passed all the beating muscle and gripped hard on her heart. in the smooth palm of his tanned hand, was her heart. forever and always. if she thought about it, he was the one for her. that deep down passed all the break ups and the heartaches and the lies, they were just two people who wanted to be loved. that maybe they could be each other’s forever, if they were stable. angie tam was not stable. not one bit. she was this constant shake up of diet coke and mentos, one shake and the whole thing explodes. angie was always a constant vibration of emotions, of some fucked up tight and compact list of problem, and with one touch or one step out of line she would just, explode. that could’ve been the reason why her relationship with tallon was this mess it was. it was all her doing, really. tallon was always the one to just take it. she was like a python in a sense, wrapping around tallon and right before wrapping too tight, she would let go and run off. blame everything on him. it was that constant cycle. it was all her. even the fact that she always ran to him. always. something about him just made it impossible for her to let go. maybe it was his foreign skin or his jet black hair, maybe it was his kind smile on his face when they were alone to gether, maybe it was just him. she remembers the feeling in her body when she would wake up to his face everyday, to see him before she would go and get drunk and go on her pill binges. angie could talk about his lovely smile and his gentle touch for hours without a stop, she could go on about his strong nature and how she was the leech, and no one would disagree. in some weird way, though, it worked. she wished to stop the pills and the drinking, to stop calling him and to hear that tired hello and her cry out in her slurred words about how she was dying without him. she wanted him to touch her like he had before the drinking, to love her like she was his heart.

ngie was a predictable girl, sort of. she was a girl who didn’t like to adapt. she didn’t want her life to be shaken up constantly. a girl of methods that could keep her satisfied throughout the day. the only thing she was okay with changing was the alcohol and the pills. that was fine by her, she liked those kind of surprises. when she called him last time, and he told her he couldn’t talk, he had a girlfriend to attend to and all of that, she hung up. she remembered just holding the phone in the palm of her hand, and staring at the wall in front of her. her breathing was shallow and rapid, the tears pooling up across her eyes. girlfriend? angie was his girlfriend. there was this feeling that swarmed up in her bones, that held up everything in a slow motion and quickly dropped it. her heart felt low, her head pounded and she wiped away the tears that left her eyes. to prove a point to tallon, angie packed up her bags and booked a flight to vegas and went to see him. sure, she was kind of drunk and buzzed on the pills she had swallowed down like candy, but she sobered up on the way to the airport. - - - seeing his shocked face when she had opened the tour bus, made it worth it. she was sober at the time, too. she felt completely free and light when she walked up to him and really examined his face. saw the foreign tan skin that she always wanted to touch and feel on the palm of her hand, the dark eyes that always seemed endless, the same eyes that gave undivided attention to angie. his plump pink lips made the temptation of what she came for harder for her to resist. they kissed after several minutes of just looking at each other. she had moved in first, her thin lips touched against his and the feeling brought everything back. brought all the memories of last nights just touching and the days before booze got the better of them back. she thought of the way his lips molded against hers perfectly, and how the hand around her waist was strong and confident, just like it was and should be. there was no booze smell or taste in anything, and maybe that’s the thing angie had loved the most about it. that this kiss was the first real thing in their relationship together. that this was a whole new redo, the one thing that wouldn’t be classified as a mistake. - - - she would change for him. take away all the pills and booze and become the angie coredlia tam he fell in love with all those years ago. when he laid her down on the bed and they touched and fucked, it was magical or something. she could remember tracing the lines of his skin and touching his lips, wanting to memorize the first time they had done this. both sober. both ready for a new start. they loved each other, there was no doubt about that. they loved each other as they both spiraled downwards in a hazy low of low’s for them both, and they would love each other as just them. angie was going to change for him, she was going to stop the drinking and the pills, and to see his beautiful face in a sober state would be worth it. she wasn’t going to fuck this up again, not when he gave her another chance like he did. - - - her phone buzzed. she had fallen asleep in her new bunk that was given to her when she was given her job as merch for forever til february. she had kept to herself most of the time and didn’t really talk to anyone in the band. waking up, angie rubbed at her brown eyes and gripped for her phone. there was a text from tallon, telling her to come to his tour bus. with a small smile, she stood up. she had fallen asleep in her jeans and t-shirt, and was too excited to change anyways. she combed her thin fingers through her long blond hair and picked up her phone and slipped on her shoes. she texted back a quick okay with a stupid little heart next to it just for the hell of it. shoving the thin phone into her jeans pocket, she walked to the tour bus door and walked out. ready to meet tallon. - - - she smiled when she saw him. her heart sped up when she saw his face light up like that. her stomach was in knots as she walked up to him. he began walking at that time, too. they met up in the middle of point a and point b and she felt his welcoming heat from where they stood. they were merely a few inches a part, and if she was confident enough, she would’ve closed the gap, but she didn’t have her confidence. she didn’t have anything in her as she stood there and stared at tallon’s face. the sight still making it hard for her to breathe. she felt his palm against her cheek, the feeling soft and the gesture sweet. it had been so long since they were together, a year. three hundred and sixty-five days without each other’s presences, it was like torture. her eyes followed his movements as he dug through his pocket and she smiled widely at what was produced from it. on a simple chain was a silver heart, the contrast of his skin and the heart widely different. she turned around for him, and brushed her hair away from her neck, so it was easier to clasp around her neck. turning around, she fiddled with the heart a little bit, the wide smile now just small. she looked up and met his endless black eyes. “ it’s, it’s so lovely, tallon. i really do love it, i’ll kept it on forever, i promise.” she said, still admiring the gift. leaning forward, she kissed him on the lips. this was right, being back together again. it felt right. breaking away, angie smiled and gripped onto his hand, intertwining her pale fingers with his own tan ones. this was right.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] • -
